This fun educational app with embedded audio clips is structured in aset of alphabetic primers to teach the children of the Iskonawa indigenous community toread words in their language.
Features illustrations drawn by Guillermo NĂ«cca PĂ«menMĂ«nquĂ« and Mariana Poblete, as well as with audio clips recorded by Nelita RodrĂguezfields.
Each letter of the Iskonawa alphabet is introduced with a word beginning with that letter.letter and a sentence using the word, with translations into Spanish.
Every word and sentencecan be tapped to play the audio clip of the word or sentence.
After theintroduction of groups of 5 letters, follow self-assessment pages in which studentsMatch the words introduced on the previous pages with their corresponding illustration.This educational app was produced as part of a project funded by the NationalGeographic Society (project NGS-67827R-20), coordinated by Roberto Zariquiey.
